Had the honor of meeting you at the Louvin museum on Monteagle. We spoke briefly about the Wilburn’s. You are an amazing, talented and gracious person. What a thrill!

  5. Richard White says:

Congratulations on the wonderful site, Charlie. It seems you have everything on here a person could want to buy pertaining to your solo albums and the brother albums. I have always loved your music and always will – you deserved to be in the Country Music Hall of Fame long before you were. I appreciate your music and love the songs “When I Was Your Man”, “Hey Daddy”, and so many others. God bless you always and I hope to get down to Monteagle in the Spring to check out the museum.

  6. Bill Mack says:

Now, we’re talking about a REAL country singer who represents our industry in grand form.

The Louvin Brothers had the best harmony, best authentic country sound, ever.

Thank God, Charlie is still active, still singing from the heart.

Charlie, thanks for making it a pleasure for a disk-jockey to play your music! You’ve always managed to select the perfect material … and present it with the perfect voice.

    Bill Mack

  7. Red Rebel says:

Charlie I agree with everything that Bill Mack said. We need more like you for I love country the way you sing it. Most of these so called country singers could not make it in real country.

  8. Jimmy Cole says:

It’s a great honor to be able to post here. As a musician and a singer, I owe a great debt to Charlie and Ira. I live in Centreville, Virginia, not far from our mutual friend Tom “Cat” Reeder, who introduced me to so much of your music. Tom always precedes and follows a Charlie Louvin or Louvin Brothers record on his radio show with the comment “We’re movin’ with the Louvins!” I have learned so much about singing and harmony from listening to your records, and I am grateful every time I’m on stage.

    Thanks, Charlie!

I hope I can see you some day, and I really hope I cam teach my kids (7 and 4) to appreciate your talent. My dad met you back in 1967 or 68 at the grove in Piketon, Ohio. I wish I could get him to come see you. You are a legend. I love your music. I will say that I have turned some others on to you, and when I do they are thankful.

Hey Charlie, I am pleased to hear your surgery went well, and I wish you a speedy recovery. My grandchildren introducted me to youtube a couple of years ago and I looked up every singer I could think of whose voice I liked. You happened to be one of them. I then discovered The Louvin Brothers. I absolutely love Louvin Brother music.

I will keep you and your family in my prayers

On Jan 26th we lost not only a great entertainer and legend but an individual who has been a close personal friend for almost 39 years. The lasting impression he left on fans through his music, and on those who met him through his down to earth and honest personality will never be forgotten. Our condolences to Betty and the boys. The harmony in heaven just got a whole lot better.
